Windows Server 2008 is the latest product of Microsoft Server Operating System. It replaces the previous 2003 version that has been available for 5 years. Built based on Windows NT 6.0, Windows Server has similar code base with Windows Vista, the desktop version, thus shares same functionality and architecture. I haven’t tasted this Operating System directly, although I once had taken a look on Windows Server 2003.

If you are an system administrator at office, it is important to learn about this new system as Microsoft tends to push new product by terminating its support for older version. In order of having knowledge about this brand new operating system, head of IT department is required to give training, either internally or externally, for administrator who is in charge for running this new version.

One service that may save time and money regarding this is Windows Server 2008 Computer Based Training, also called as Windows 2008 CBT. One training service that provide whole package of Windows 2008 CBT is SelfStudySource. Based in Tampa, Florida, SelfStudySource offers complete Windows 2008 training, including active directory configuration, network infrastructure configuration, and so on. The training service also provide certificate, like Microsoft Certificate Trainer Specialist (MCTS) after completion of the course. All we need is computer and time to enhance our knowledge about Windows Server 2008.
