Sony Ericsson W880 is out in Indonesia
Traditionally, I am a huge fans of Sony Ericsson. Lately SE announced several new products for its lines and one of the them is W880. It is the first “slim” cellphone unveiled by SE, even though American and Korean competitors has already being in this section for a year or two.
Usually, when new product is launched in February, it took about 4-6 months for mass products. Apparently, this thing doesn’t apply for this SE’s. Early March, I see the ads in well known national newspaper pictured inside a CD plastic case to show its slimness. Also, several online shops (for example, this and this) have already offered this product.
Surprised for sure, SE maybe has create better procedure for its mass product. This along with its increasing sales during 2006. I think SE will hold great position this year and could be a serious competitor for Samsung as the 3rd largest cellphone manufacturing for market share. Way to go Sony Ericsson!
PS: SE Z310 is also out.

dude, as much as i’m interested in SE’s sound quality and slick design.. one thing that still holds me back to my good old nokia is the screen size. During some fieldtrips I had, shooting & reviewing pictures taken on SE was a bit frustrating, though with the same 2MP camera, viewing a 2MP photo result in a SE screen is not as satisfying as viewing it in a nokia (3250 for example).. also after transfering it into my laptop, the quality of a shot on the same object (comparing each 2MP of camera quality nokia vs SE) seems better by nokia compared to SE’s..
don’t you think so?

have u ever tried W900 (Donna has it)? It has big screen (2.2″).
Unfortunately, I never had a high end SE phone, so I cannot tell whether the image quality is as good/better/worse as Nokia.
