Printer Technology
Honestly, the evolution of printer technology is not as fast as other computer component, like processor or video cards. Well, what would you want actually with printer? To print, right? As long as it works fine, we don’t need them to work as fast as lightning speed.
I think printer technology evolution is getting more to its multiple use. Multiple here means we can use the device, not only as printer, but also as fax machine, photocopier, and scanner.
These days, printing is campaigned to be avoided, since paper is made from trees and lots of trees have been cut off. They recommend to use email instead, or any portable device like flashdisk.
But of course, to create report, we need to print them. You can’t always send email to your boss, especially when your boss is antique and “anti-technology” like Warren Buffet.
The most important printer component? Of course the ink cartridges. Without it, is like a computer without processor, no brainer at all. Once upon time, we use only special paper for laser printer (and slow printing speed), but now even photo paper can be printed using our home printer.
We don’t need to go to photo store just to print our favorite moment shot using camera digital. Use direct cable, bluetooth, or transfer it first to computer, we can enjoy photo printing with even the cheapest printer one.
