If Silicon Valley has Michael Arrington’s TechCrunch, blog about Web 2.0 products & companies, Islam communities now have IslamCrunch to highlight Muslim business and projects in cyberworld.
According to the site, “IslamCrunch was developed to showcase businesses, organizations and projects that involved Muslims. All of us here at IslamCrunch have been involved with a variety of projects in the Muslim community and have amassed a large network.”
Even tough it is just launched, first post is on 7 April 2007, hopefully we could hear lot of news from Muslim entrepreneurs around the world. Sites being highlighted so far including FunClient and UmmahWatch. I think there are some Muslim online-entrepreneurs here in Indonesia that can be reviewed

As Salamu ‘alaykum Amir,
Thank you for the wonderful review. We are also based in Silicon Valley.
We have a few Indonesians on our team and FunClient was co-developed by an Indonesian.
We would be honored to review Indonesian entrepreneurs and community leaders.
If you know anyone who would like to be showcased, please contact me at mikael-at-islamcrunch dot see oh em.
Here is a sneak preview of upcoming highlights, insha’Allah:
- Interview with Executive Director of Illume Magazine (http://www.illumemedia.org)
- Interview with alternative rock band, Project26 (http://www.project26.com)
- Interview with developers of Muslim Business Club (http://www.muslimbc.com)
… and many more!
Salam,
Mikael
